Finca La Perla is a gem of a coffee. The farm has reached the finals of the Cup of Excellence 6 times, taking 2nd place in 2002. Smoky and spicy with green apple notes and flowery acidity. DJ Harry says: “It’s like a natural high, almost akin to drinking a soda – without the fizz – just a natural effervescence from the fruitiness…just a burst of flavor.”

Description

Since 1945, the Arenas family farm, Finca La Perla, has produced excellent coffee. They have been a finalist for the Cup of Excellence award on six separate occasions! Located in Quiché near Chajul, ten hours northwest of Guatemala City, this vast, remote farm is spread over several Mayan villages. Finca La Perla coffee is shade grown, fully washed, and sun-dried. The coffee fields are interspersed with groves of cardamom, bamboo and citrus.
